FAQ #1 Click the plus + to the left to open explanations

Do you accept insurance?

HonorMyRise does not accept insurance at this time. We are actively exploring the ability to accept a variety of insurance plans in the very near future to expand accessibility for our clients. Until then, services are private‑pay. Clients may request a superbill to submit to their insurance provider for possible reimbursement, though approval depends entirely on their individual plan.

FAQ #2 — What is a superbill?

A superbill is a detailed receipt that includes your session dates, service descriptions, and provider information. Clients can submit a superbill to their insurance company to check whether their plan offers reimbursement for coaching services. Reimbursement is not guaranteed and depends entirely on the client’s individual insurance plan.

FAQ #3 — What is an NPI?

An NPI (National Provider Identifier) is a unique 10‑digit number used to identify healthcare providers in the national system. While coaching services do not require an NPI, having one allows clients to submit superbills with a higher chance of reimbursement. HonorMyRise is in the process of obtaining an NPI to support clients who wish to seek reimbursement through their insurance plans.

FAQ #4 — Do you provide diagnosis codes?

HonorMyRise provides trauma‑informed coaching services and does not diagnose mental health conditions. Because coaching is not a clinical service, diagnosis codes (such as ICD‑10 codes) are not provided. Clients may still request a superbill; however, reimbursement depends entirely on their insurance provider and may be limited without a diagnosis code.

FAQ #5 — Are coaching services covered by insurance?

Coaching services are not typically covered by insurance because they do not include clinical diagnosis or treatment. However, there are several insurance companies we are working with to help cover the cost. HonorMyRise is a private‑pay practice for now. Clients who wish to explore reimbursement on their own may request a superbill, but approval depends entirely on their individual insurance provider and plan benefits.

FAQ #6 — Can I use HSA or FSA funds?

Some clients may be able to use HSA or FSA funds for coaching services, depending on their plan’s rules. HonorMyRise does not determine eligibility or guarantee approval. Clients should contact their HSA/FSA provider to confirm whether coaching services qualify under their specific account guidelines.

FAQ #7 — What forms of payment do you accept?

HonorMyRise is a private‑pay practice. At this time, we accept payments through Cash App. Additional payment options, such as debit and credit card processing, will be added in the future as our services expand.

FAQ #8 Do you offer payment plans?

HonorMyRise may offers limited payment plan options for select services upon approval. Payment plans must be arranged in advance and approved prior to the start of services. All payment plans require consistent, on‑time payments to remain active. Clients using payment plans are still responsible for the full session fee, even if reimbursement is not available through insurance or HSA/FSA accounts.

FAQ #9 — How do I request a superbill?

Clients may request a superbill by contacting HonorMyRise directly after their session. Superbill requests must include the client’s full name, session date, and the service received. Superbill processing is typically completed within 3–5 business days. Please note that reimbursement is not guaranteed and depends entirely on the client’s insurance provider and plan benefits. If not approved, the client is responsible for full payment.

FAQ #10 — What is your cancellation policy?

HonorMyRise requires at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a session. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may result in a late‑cancellation fee. Missed appointments without notice are considered no‑shows and may be charged the full session fee. Consistent attendance supports the coaching process and ensures availability for all clients.

FAQ #11 — What can I expect during a session?

During a session with HonorMyRise, you can expect a supportive, judgment‑free space focused on your goals, healing, and personal growth. Sessions are conversation‑based and guided by trauma‑informed practices. We explore your experiences, identify patterns, and develop practical strategies you can use in your daily life.

Sessions may also include healing activities such as grounding exercises, reflective prompts, guided journaling, or other supportive practices designed to help you reconnect with yourself. Each session is tailored to your needs, and you are always in control of the pace and direction of your work.

FAQ #12 — Do you work with children or families?

Yes. HonorMyRise provides direct trauma‑informed coaching for children, as well as support for parents, families, and caregivers. Sessions for children are designed to help them express emotions, build coping skills, and develop healthy communication in a safe, age‑appropriate environment. Family sessions may also be offered to strengthen understanding, connection, and support within the home. All services are tailored to the needs of each child and family.

FAQ #13 — What is the difference between coaching and therapy?

Coaching and therapy both support personal growth, but they serve different purposes. Therapy focuses on diagnosing and treating health conditions, such as mental health, processing trauma, and addressing clinical symptoms. Coaching does not diagnose orprescribe medicines for and health disorders. Instead, coaching focuses on goal‑setting, emotional awareness, skill‑building, and creating forward‑moving strategies. HonorMyRise, provides trauma‑informed coaching designed to support healing, resilience, and personal development, while staying within the non‑clinical scope of practice.

FAQ #14 — What is the New Horizon Program?

The New Horizon Program is a structured, trauma‑informed coaching program designed to support returning citizens as they rebuild their lives with stability, confidence, and purpose. The program provides guided sessions, emotional support, practical tools, and accountability to help clients navigate reentry challenges. New Horizon includes a clear onboarding process, goal‑setting, progress tracking, and optional family support when appropriate. This program is available to adults and youth, with eligibility determined during the intake process.

FAQ #15 — Who is eligible for the New Horizon Program?

The New Horizon Program is designed for returning citizens who are committed to rebuilding their lives with structure, accountability, and trauma‑informed support. Eligibility is determined during the intake process and includes a review of personal goals, readiness for change, and program fit. The program is open to adults and youth. Individuals with convictions involving sex offenses or malicious crimes against children are not eligible for enrollment.

Clients who are currently on parole or probation must disclose this information during intake so appropriate support, documentation, and program alignment can be established. All participants must agree to the program guidelines and complete the full onboarding process before beginning services.

FAQ #16 — What does the New Horizon onboarding process include?

The New Horizon onboarding process ensures that each client enters the program with clarity, support, and a solid foundation. Onboarding includes a welcome letter, intake form, program contract, and an intake checklist to confirm readiness. During onboarding, clients review program expectations, identify personal goals, and complete all required documentation. Once onboarding is finished, clients are officially enrolled and can begin their structured coaching sessions.

FAQ #17 — How long does the Programs last?

Program length varies based on each client’s needs, goals, and progress. Both the HonorMyRise Coaching Program and the New Horizon Program are designed to provide structured, trauma‑informed support over time. Most clients participate for several months to build stability, strengthen coping skills, and achieve meaningful growth. Each program includes regular check‑ins, progress reviews, and tailored guidance to ensure clients receive the level of support that fits their individual journey.

FAQ #18 — What support is included in the programs?

Both the HonorMyRise Coaching Program and the New Horizon Program provide structured, trauma‑informed support tailored to each client’s needs. Support may include one‑on‑one coaching sessions, emotional guidance, goal‑setting, progress check‑ins, healing activities, group sessions, and practical tools to help clients navigate daily challenges. Clients may also receive resources, referrals, and optional family support when appropriate. Each program is designed to build stability, strengthen coping skills, and support long‑term personal growth.

FAQ #19 — What are the expectations for participants?

Participants in both the HonorMyRise Coaching Program and the New Horizon Program are expected to engage actively in their growth process. This includes attending scheduled sessions, completing assigned activities or reflections, communicating openly, and honoring program guidelines. Clients are encouraged to show up consistently, practice the tools provided, and take responsibility for their personal progress. These expectations help create a supportive, structured environment where meaningful change can take place.

FAQ #20 — How do I enroll?

Clients can enroll in either the HonorMyRise Coaching Program or the New Horizon Program by completing the intake process. Enrollment begins with submitting an intake form, reviewing the program contract, and confirming readiness through the intake checklist. Clients who are currently on parole or probation must disclose this information during intake so appropriate support and documentation can be established. Once all onboarding steps are completed and approved, clients are officially enrolled and may begin scheduling their sessions.

FAQ #21 — Are sessions available virtually

Yes. All HonorMyRise sessions are offered exclusively in a virtual format. There are no in‑person sessions. Virtual sessions provide a flexible, accessible, and secure way for clients to receive trauma‑informed support from any location. All sessions are conducted through secure platforms to protect client privacy and ensure a safe, comfortable environment for healing and growth.

FAQ #22 — What ages do you serve?

HonorMyRise provides trauma‑informed coaching for children, youth, and adults. Services begin as early as age 3, depending on the child’s ability to communicate and participate in the session in an age‑appropriate way. Each child is assessed individually during intake to ensure the program is a good fit and that the coaching environment supports their emotional needs and developmental stage.

FAQ #23 — What should I bring to my first session?

For your first session, you only need to bring yourself and an open mind. If you completed any intake forms, reflections, or onboarding documents, having those nearby can be helpful. Children may bring a comfort item such as a small toy, book, or drawing if it helps them feel safe and supported during the session. Everything else needed for your session will be provided through the virtual platform.

FAQ #24 — What is your cancellation policy?

HonorMyRise requires at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a session. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may result in a missed‑session fee. Clients who miss three unexcused sessions will be removed from the program.

To cancel all remaining sessions or withdraw from the program, a 72‑hour notice is required. After cancellation, a 24‑hour grace period is provided in case the client changes their mind and wishes to continue services.

All fees paid are non‑refundable, including missed‑session fees, program payments, or prepaid sessions.

FAQ #25 — How do virtual sessions work?

All HonorMyRise sessions are conducted virtually through a secure online platform. At this time, Microsoft Teams is the primary platform used for both the HonorMyRise Coaching Program and the New Horizon Program. Once your session is scheduled, you will receive a private link to join. Simply click the link at your appointment time to enter the session. A quiet, comfortable space and a stable internet connection will help ensure the best experience.

FAQ #26 — How do I prepare my child for a virtual session?

To help your child feel comfortable during their virtual session, choose a quiet space where they can focus without distractions. Young children may bring a small comfort item—such as a toy, book, or drawing—to help them feel safe and relaxed. Make sure your device is charged, the camera is working, and your child can see and hear clearly. For children ages 3 and up, it can be helpful to explain in simple terms that they will be talking to a helper who listens, supports them, and wants to understand how they feel. No additional materials are required unless discussed during intake.

FAQ #27 — What happens if I am late to a session?

If you are late to a session, the session will still end at the originally scheduled time. This helps protect the schedule for all clients. If more than 15 minutes pass without communication, the session may be marked as a missed appointment. Missed sessions count toward the attendance policy, and three unexcused missed sessions will result in termination from the program. Any fees paid are non‑refundable. If you are on Parole or Probation, that person will be notified immediately.

FAQ #28 — Do you offer crisis or emergency support?

HonorMyRise does not provide crisis or emergency support. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, immediate danger, or feel unsafe, please contact local emergency services or reach out to a trusted crisis hotline right away. Coaching sessions are not a substitute for emergency care. HonorMyRise provides structured, trauma‑informed support, but all urgent or life‑threatening situations must be handled by emergency professionals

FAQ #29 — Can parents sit in on their child’s session?

Parents and guardians may join the beginning of a child’s session to help the child feel comfortable and to share any important updates. After the initial check‑in, the coach may continue the session one‑on‑one with the child to support privacy, emotional expression, and age‑appropriate independence. For very young children or children who need additional support, a parent may remain nearby or stay visible on screen if recommended during intake. The goal is always to create a safe, supportive environment that meets the child’s developmental and emotional needs.
